"To be or not to be..."
I grew up in an era when girls were led to believe there were only three professions available. We could become nurses, secretaries, or teachers. I planned to follow in my mom's footsteps and become a nurse. That lasted until college physics and chemistry! I graduated from the University of Utah with a BA in English, and earned an M.Ed. several years later. I've never regretted my choice "to be" a teacher, and delight in the fact that my students realize they can become anything they choose.
